Make a Total Effort

Hello Hello Hello--It's me Shari!!  Thanks so much for joining me here today, for what is my last official blog posting as part of the Artistic Outpost DT.  A bittersweet day, indeed, as I've loved  being a part of the AO DT and will miss sharing Artistic Outpost creations with you.

Today's card features images from our new Grunge Elements and The Golf Club stamp sets, which go so well together!

I started with grabbing the ring stain & speckles images from our Grunge Elements set and stamped onto a panel of kraft card stock with Archival Inks.  I heat set then ran the panel through my sewing machine to add the stitched border.

I created the opaque rectangle using a 3" mini gelli plate that I brayered with Buff DAM fluid acrylic and pressed onto the background panel.  I heat set then stamped the trio of flags onto the surface with Jet Black Archival.

Lady Golfer was stamped onto mixed-media paper with Jet Black Archival and fussy cut.  I stamped the label onto kraft glassine, heat set and fussy cut then I rolled the paper around my finger to create the subtle wrinkles.  I thought that piece needed a little extra something, so I ran it through my sewing machine to add the stitching.

I stamped the Arnold Palmer quote onto mixed-media paper and cut into word bands.  I brushed matte Decou-Page over each band, heat set, then coated with DAM Crackle Glaze and let air dry.  When the bands were dry, I rubbed with Walnut Stain DI to accentuate those cracks and mounted onto black card stock.

I roughed up the edges of the panel with my paper distresser and inked with Ground Espresso DI, then adhered all of the fussy cut pieces onto the panel with matte Decou-Page and attached the finished panel to a kraft card base.

Thank You so much for joining me for my final Artistic Outpost Blog posting.  It's been a Supreme Pleasure to be a part of the AO DT and to be able to create, and hopefully, inspire you with all of the Fabulous Artistic Outpost rubber stamp art.

A Final Thank You to Lisa our AO DT Leader and to Kelley, AO company owner for having me as a representative of the Artistic Outpost brand and to my AO DTmates!  I've made some of the best creative memories and friends and I'll always be thankful to have been here!
