Happy Saturday
Everyone! Julie here, with a wintery
card using the Artistic Outpost stamp set, Skating Emporium.
Even though spring is almost arrived, they are calling for a bit of snow on the East Coast this weekend, so I thought I would create a wintery card (plus I just love the images in the Skating Emporium stamp set)!
I created the background
for this card by stenciling Crackled Texture Paste with a snowflake stencil,
adding TH Distress Stains as well as spritzing Shimmer Mist spray and stitching
the panel to the black cardstock with a zigzag stitch.
Using Stāz-On® Jet
Black Ink, I stamped the image of the skaters on the pond along with the two Central Park
advertisement images onto a piece of Vintage Ephemera 6x6 Paper (ODBD), distressed
with TH Distress Ink and the two advertisement images were adhered directly to the
background panel using TH Distress Crazing Medium.
The skates were
stamped with Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink, fussy cut and TH Distress Crazing Medium was
applied.
The skaters on the pond
were distressed with the TH Distress Crazing Medium and added to the card front
using dimensional foam.
After heat embossing
the sentiment and mounting to the card front with dimensional foam along with the skates, the snowflake
charm was added with gold thread and a pearl before mounting the entire panel
onto the distressed card base to finish off the card.
Don’t forget, we
would love to see what you are creating with your Artistic Outpost stamps- click here for details on how to join in on our March Show Us Your AO Art Challenge.
Thanks again for
stopping by- have a fabulous week!!
