Live, Laugh, Play- Having Fun with The Golf Club

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Julie here, sharing a "sports inspired"  Mixed Media card using The Golf Club along with Grunge Elements from the Artistic Outpost Spring 2016 Release available from Our Daily Bread Designs website).

To create the background for this card, I inked the grid image from the Grunge Elements stamp set with green distress ink, repeatedly stamped onto a piece of white cardstock, added the corner border stamp from Grunge Elements using a denim distress ink, spritzed the panel with water and once dried, die cut  with the frame from the ODBD Flourished Star Pattern Dies.

I mounted the background panel onto black cardstock, trimming close to the die cut frame and mounted onto the white card base.

I stamped the collage map image from The Golf Club with archival black ink onto white cardstock, die cut with the medium die from the ODBD Double Stitched Rectangle Dies, used a water brush to watercolor with green distress ink and added vintage watercolor touches with a water-based black calligraphy pen.

I cut this collage panel in half, mounted the panels onto two pieces onto black cardstock (trimming close to the die cut edge) and adhered both of the panels flush to the card front.

I die cut a piece of white cardstock and two pieces of black cardstock with the medium circle from the ODBD Double Stitched Circle Dies, stamped The Golf Club flag image onto the white cardstock circle die cut, followed the steps above for the adding the background and vintage watercolor and mounted onto the two black cardstock circle die cuts.

Using embossing ink, I stamped the golfer image from The Golf Club onto white cardstock, heat embossed with black embossing powder and fussy-cut out the image.

I heat embossed the sentiment and the advertising image from The Golf Club with white embossing powder onto black cardstock and hand trimmed the images.

I die cut a piece of black cardstock with the ODBD Pennant Swag Die, trimmed off the ends of the pennant and positioned the pennant onto the card front, mounting the advertising image above the pennant and the sentiment  onto the collage area (both with dimensional foam).

To finish off the card, I used dimensional foam to add the die cut circle with the fussy-cut golfer image.

I had fun designing this card and hope I have inspired you to create a project this week with your Artistic Outpost stamps!  If so, don’t forget to enter your AO artwork in our “Show Us Your AO Art- August Challenge”- please click here for details.
