Red, White and YUM!

Hello There & Happy Sunday!!  It's Shari with you today-Thanks for joining me!  I've got a fun and patriotic card to share with you that I made using our new Ice Cream Shoppe stamp set along with ODBD Patriotic Paper and ODBD Beautiful Borders Dies.

I had so much fun making this card, I completely forgot to take pictures along the creative way-DUH!  I was too in the-stamping, heat embossing, fussy cutting, die cutting, machine stitching-zone to remember the camera!

Oh, but wait--Look, one 'before' shot of the background!  I mounted a piece of ODBD Patriotic Paper to a red card base and ran through my sewing machine to add the stitched border.  The two ODBD Beautiful Borders are 'enameled' in white and I stitched them into place with my sewing machine using an applique stitch.

I masked off one of the quotes found in the Ice Cream Shoppe set and stamped 'ice cream' several times onto white card stock with black pigment ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder.  I fussy cut into word bands and mounted onto a red or blue base.

I stamped 'ice cream girl' onto white card stock with Jet Black Archival and heat set.  I fussy cut her and framed with blue card stock then ran her through my sewing machine to add a touch of stitching.

I adhered all of the fussy cut pieces onto the background panel with matte Decou-Page and finished with adding a few frosted red dots.

Thanks again for joining me here at the Artistic Outpost Blog today and don't forget to join us in our monthly Show Us Your AO Art Challenge!  This month's Anything Goes with AO stamps is open until 11:55pm CDT May 31st, so bring your AO Art over for a chance to win!!
