Vintage Form!

TGIF and today along with my project, I am sharing that reminder about scheduling those most important mammograms! We all know we would rather not go through the process, but it is truly much better than the alternative not only for ourselves, but for those we love.

When Vintage Fashion was released for October, I immediately knew that I needed to find a dress/bust form and use this collection of feminine stamps in honor of all women. I covered it in two coats of gesso and then a layer of DecoArt crackle paint. When good and dry I applied some Raw Umber antiquing cream, wiped off the excess and then applied a coat of gel medium to set the crackle. The images were stamped in Coffee Archival and then colored with markers in shades of pink, but of course.
The sentiments were stamped in Tea Rose Archival and I applied one of the Beautiful Borders trim from Our Daily Bread Designs on the edge.

Thank you for visiting today and you still have a couple of weeks to share your Artistic Outpost talent with us at the monthly "Show Us Your AO Art" challenge, so come on over!

I love this awesome project! The dressform is a perfect medium to show off the beautiful (Pink) images! I really love the crackle effect too.
