Hello There & Happy Sunday!! It's me Shari-Thanks for coming by today! I've got a quick card to share with you using a piece of the Autumn inspired master board I made last week and one of my favorite, inspiring images from one of my favorite AO stamp sets-Kudzu Kafe!
There's another reason this is a quick card--I'm also kind of cheating! I'm copying myself with this card design from a card I made this past April that you can see here in this posting-Hello Spring (I guess I skipped right over Summer?).
I cut a piece of the master board for my background panel and stained a piece of manila stock that I'm going to die cut butterfly wings out of. I used Twisted Citron & Ripe Persimmon Distress Spray Stains to color the manila stock. Separately, I stamped Kudzu Girl onto mixed-media paper with Jet Black Archival.
Also, on another piece of mixed-media paper, I used the letter block stamp from our Secretary Pool set, and stamped it with Twisted Citron & Ripe Persimmon Distress Inks, then again with Coffee Archival. I fussy cut the letters I needed to spell out Autumn, twice.
Kudzu Girl got water colored with Distress Markers and my detail water brush, heat set then fussy cut. She received her die cut butterfly wings-I used the Butterfly Duo Bigz die. OH, but before I had embossed her wings, I stamped them with the music image found in our Ephemera Backgrounds set.
I adhered the letters into place and attached Kudzu Girl in the center with foam dots. The 'hello' is from the Serenity set, and I stamped that onto the panel with Jet Black Archival. I shaded Kudzu Girl and the words with Black Soot DI and my water brush. I added a few enamel dots and outlined with white gel pen and gave the panel a spritzing of Biscotti Perfect Pearls mist.
I roughed up the edges of the panel with my paper distresser and inked with Black Soot DI, then attached to a lime green, top fold card base. All done!
Thanks so much for spending a little bit of your Sunday with me here at Artistic Outpost! Awesome!
Brilliant - love the autumn colours and great grungy feel - those enamel dots are making me crave M&Ms though!

Hello Shari, what a bright and wonderful piece. The background was perfect for this project, and your use of the stamps are great- like in your autumn !!

A wonderful feeling of Autumn.
I like the way you used a stamp set to spell out the word Autumn and another fabulous use of your Gelli print background.
Shari, I was sure you had been raiding the candy jar for Smarties but in actual fact it is enamel dots. My mind is too much on chocolate/candy what with being deprived of it for so many months due to this elimination diet lol.

Really cute!
Love the fall colors Shari. I have a friend who loves "primitive" and this card makes me think of her for some reason. She would totally be thrilled to receive this. Super creation! j.
What a wonderful card Shari... and I well remember the one (for Spring) you made in the past, brilliant idea and duo!!! Waiting for the one for Summer and Winter now (though the wings may be a challenge... but maybe not!) :D
