Perching on a (real) branch!

Hello everyone, thanks for dropping in.
Here's a tag using the wonderful Birds of a Feather plate.  And this time there's some actual real life greenery involved!
I stuck down and gesso'd a couple of fir fronds, and then used Pan Pastels to provide some colour over the top.
The bird is stamped in Potting Soil - the perfect springtime image.
And the fabulous Gothic text is stamped around the edges in Olive Archival.
The sentiment comes from the Quote & Quotables set, and is layered up over some rusty wire mesh for an earthy look.
I added some little wooden hearts by Studio Calico and buttons from the UHK Gallery in Poland.
And then lots of slightly distressed crinkle ribbon to finish it off... and we're done.
Come and play along in our Referral Challenge this month, using any Artistic Outpost stamps, and you could be a winner in the prize draw or be picked as one of our Top 3.  Hope to see you there.

Hello Alison. I love this tag. The colours are so subtle and spring-like and Emily Dickinson is one of my favourite poets! I love the 'Birds of a Feather' plate too! Life's been a bit hectic for me, but I am trying to catch up with commenting on your beautiful posts. Julie Ann xxx

So pretty in green, Alison! That little AO birdie is just so happy perched upon the lovely greenery your created! Love this! I decoupaged a few grape leaves from my garden once on a wall and they turned colors in fall!
