Chalky Children

Hello everyone... I'm just sharing a quick tag today, marrying the fabulous new Chalkboard Wisdom and Chalk It Up sets with my long-loved Think and Wonder stamps.
I've always love this brother and sister, facing the future together with such bravery...  They're on a wrinkle-free distress background of Distress Paints and Stains, and I've given them slightly chalky faces with a white pencil.
So, for me, they go perfectly with this sentiment from the Chalk Wisdom set, and the corner flourishes from Chalk It Up just add a little something extra.  I embossed the sentiment in Wow Bright White Super Fine powder onto black card, and added some chalk ink to the edges as well as some white pencil to give the letters extra dimension.
The pencils in the background are from the Secretary Pool stamp set... and the whole thing is finished off with some crinkle ribbon dyed with Distress Stains to match the tag, and some black and white paper string to tie in with the chalkboard stamping.
That's all from me for now... But don't forget there's a brand new September Referral Program just opened up here at Artistic Outpost.  Come along and play - as long as your project has at least one AO image, that is, of course!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.

This is a beautiful image and an exquisitely executed tag. I love the way these children are stepping out into life too. I am keen to have a go at this chalk-board technique. Are there UK stockists of Artistic Outpost, as their designs look just amazing! Everything I've seen of AO so appeals to me. Julie Ann xx
