Hello everyone, Alison here with another piece of Chalkboard Wisdom for you!
The final part of my tag trio brings the wonderful Coffee Guys from the Generation Redux plate into action along with stamps from the (nearly) new Chalkboard Wisdom and Chalk It Up sets.
The background was created using Tim Holtz's wrinkle-free distress technique - not sure any longer of the colours, but I think Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean and maybe Peacock Feathers were involved.
The chaps themselves are stamped in Jet Black Archival, and I used a white pencil to give them the chalky faces, mainly to tone in with the Chalkboard theme, and partly to soften the slightly Wicked Witch of the West look of the Coffee Guy on the left!
I used Wow Brilliant White Super Fine embossing powder to emboss the sentiment, which is of course from Chalkboard Wisdom; and I added extra chalkiness with the white pencil and with one of the Prima chalk edgers. The decorative flourishes are from the Chalk It Up plate. The two sets are designed to work together, and they do that brilliantly.
All the extra stamping on the tags is done with other stamps from Generation Redux.
Crinkle ribbon dyed with Distress Stains and tied with paper ribbon finishes the whole thing off.
If you've been using Artistic Outpost stamps in any of your projects, do come and play along with this month's Referral Program here at AO - we'd love to see what you've been creating.
Thanks so much for dropping in today, and do watch this space tomorrow... there's more excitement to come!
