This is Kate, and I
loved playing with the new Boardwalk
plate in my art journal. I started off
by using some kraft paper for my background. I spread a layer of gesso using a
palette knife and then added some items for texture. I did another layer of
gesso and then spayed using summer colors. On this first page I stamped the
shells from the stamp plate on top of my chipboard hexagons. I stamped my sentiment, cut it out and layered it over
some twine, lace and fiber.
The background on my second page is completed the same as
the first except for the additional embellishments. My image was stamped with
Staz-On Ink onto tissue paper and then adhered to stained book paper. I love
how it is somewhat translucent adding to the aged appearance.
I hope
you find some fun ways to use this awesome new stamp plate. Don’t forget to
