Sand in her Toes

Happy Friday!  Suzz here.

The vintage bathing beauties in the new release Boardwalk are charming in their old fashioned swimsuits and swim caps.

When I saw the sweet beach huts I knew I wanted to do a series of  houses in a row. I painted cardstock in the lighter blues and greens to provide a surface to stamp on.   I stamped the ladies, houses and sentiment on the painted cardstock using black ink..

I cut out the houses and created a row of houses by layering the houses.

The ladies were also stamped on white cardstock and cut out.  I colored the image with watercolor pencils. I cut the Ladies swimsuit and swim caps from the painted background and layered them onto the colored image.  They then were placed in front of the row of houses.

I tore up sandpaper to create my sandy shore. The card is an easel card with the front folded in half and the houses and the bathing beauties attached to the front.

Have a wonderful weekend!
