Tag, you're it!

A chance to get a closer look at another one of my tag trio today.  This one uses the pair of men from the Generation Redux set.
To me, they seem very clearly to be brothers... the older one, stern and forbidding, bearing the full responsibility of the inherited family business (coffee merchants, clearly, given the other stamps in the set); the younger brother, with more of a twinkle in his eye, more reckless in his business decisions, adding to his older brother's cares... but I'm aware that's just a story in my head!
These two found their home on the strongest background of the three - from the first sweep through the Distress Paints on the craft mat.  It was then dabbed back in several times to create extra layers of painty texture.
I used the texture stamp from the same set, stamping with the Weathered Wood Distress Paint for additional interest.
And I added the ledger page (more concerns for big brother) from the Ephemera Backgrounds plate, stamped in Coffee Archival, and rolled on and off for a random look.
Final touch for the background was to use the Flourish embossing folder by Tim Holtz, highlighting it with some more of the Weathered Wood DP as well as some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
The postmark stamp is also from the Ephemera Backgrounds, and is layered with a 3D postmark by Wendy Vecchi, which has had touch of Distress Paint too.
I've a strong suspicion that the geography of the postmarks doesn't make any sense, but let's just take the long way round, eh?!
It's pretty close to the deadline for the April Referral Program here at AO, but you've still just got time to get your Artistic Outpost projects linked up to be in with a chance at the prize draw. Thanks so much for stopping by today...  See you in May!!

Hi Alison, no, definitely no Ocean Grove in Calgary (to my knowledge) but they are obviously well travelled as Coffee Merchants! Love the fabulous background you created (Weathered Wood is my current favourite) and the image is all the better for your story telling. Hugs, Anne x
