PIONEER

Following a New Year clear out and reorganisation of my craft room I decided that it was about time I used some of the wooden pieces I have lying around. This jigsaw pieces being one of them.
I began by adding texture paste to my jigsaw piece and once dry I painted with acrylic paints to give a rusty like appearance and fabulous texture to my background.
I used the fabulous Charles and Amelia plate from Artistic Outpost to decorate my aperture. I stamped the image with black archival ink, coloured with brushed corduroy and vintage photo Distress Inks and then spritzed with a little water. I added two small cogs coloured with ginger and rust alcohol inks. I also added the fabulous sentiment "Adventure is worthwhile in itself" to one side of my jigsaw piece.
More cogs/gears have been added to the bottom of my piece along with a game spinner and pen nib for added interest and dimension.
PIONEER has been added to the top of my jigsaw piece along with a small wing embellishment again coloured with ginger and rust alcohol inks.

Artistic Outpost has a fabulous referral theme running for January and the theme for the month is ANYTHING GOES using any of your fabulous Artistic Outpost images.  There is a fabulous prize on offer too. You can upload your projects HERE.
