Welcome to Artistic Outpost this Saturday. This is Kate, and it is my turn to share. I have been dying to try an entire project where the background is all stamped. I really admire artists who can use nothing but stamps to make their backgrounds full of eye candy.
I started off by spraying my background with a brown glimmer spray and two colors of Dylusions. I stamped my main image of the gentleman from the Paris Exposition stamp set. Then, using the remaining stamps I stamped them throughout the background in different but lighter colored inks.
To embellish I used wide vintage lace, ephemera, corrugated cardboard, handmade flowers, grungeboard heart, a light bulb and metal charm.
I hope you will give this technique a try. Artistic Outpost stamps are perfect for this technique because all of their sets have various sizes of images. Don’t forget you can enter your projects using Artistic Outpost Stamps in the January Referral Challenge.

Hi Kate, your tag is gorgeous! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Kate. I have those stamps and I love em, but haven't used them in those gorgeous colours you have used. You are so right, AO stamps work so well as sets, don't they. Look forward to seeing more of you!

ReplyDeleteYour stamped BG came out amazing, Kate. The colors are beautiful. And of course, I love the embellishment cluster of postcard, lace and handmade flowers - it doesn't get any better than that!
