Cowgirl Christmas

Happy Friday!  I hope your holiday planning is going well. I was in need of a gift card holder for a dear friend and decided to up-cycle a box into a Cowgirl Christmas.

I started with a box that contained staples.

 Added a coat of paint:
While that was drying I stamped the cowgirl and colored her using watercolor pencils and waterbrush.  I cut her out.  I covered the image with versamark ink and covered her with clear embossing powder.  I then heated her up. This helps bring out the colors to make them more vibrant.

After the paint was dry I stamped the cowhide across the surface.
The inside of the box was covered with pattern paper.  I stamped the sentiment using brown ink. The embellishments are all bits and pieces collected along the way.

Products: Artistic Outpost Snowy Woods, Cowgirl Strength

Wishing you and yours the very best Christmas!
