I've been using the fabulous MIDWINTER plate once again to create a very traditional Christmas card.
I began by cutting a circle from white card to create an aperture, stamping the focal image onto the circle cut from the card. My image has been coloured with Distress Markers adding a little vintage photo around the edges to age a little.
I stamped the foliage from the focal image around my aperture, using Distress Markers to ink the areas I needed and stamping randomly around the edge. I added the aperture on top of the circle, raising a little to give dimension. Fired brick ink has been added to the outside edges and I have matted my piece onto red and green card stock to echo that very traditional feel. For added dimension I have included three dimensional roses and foliage to compliment. To complete I added the fabulous sentiment from the MIDWINTER plate, again colouring with Distress Ink.
Thanks for stopping by.

Tracy, you've been busy! Just been visiting your fab spooky tag, and here's another gorgeous piece. The cardinal looks wonderful in the setting you've created, and your flowers are gorgeous!
