Back To School

This week I have created a card using the Secretary Pool plate, perfect for those back to school makes.
I used the alphabet background stamp to create my background, adding a wash of Gesso to give a more muted colour and chalky finish. I also added machine stitching in rows to appear like lined paper and it also adds great texture.
I also added the young girl from the Kudzu Kafe plate, coloured with Distress Markers. For added dimension and texture I have also included letters cut from mountboard adding ultra thick embossing enamel to each. I have also included mini numerals coloured with alcohol inks for further interest, along with paperclips, stamped pencil, mini wooden pencils and mini chalkboard clip.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Wow - I LOVE this... the patina on those letters is sensational, and of course I'm always going to love blue&brown as a colour combo. The tied twig pens are a delicious touch. So many covetable AO stamp sets... which to save up for next?!
