Christmas Scenes

The sweet vintage images from the Frosty and Friends brings back images of old Christmas cards.

I created my first card using the adorable girl from Frosty and Friends and her Christmas finery:
I looked for some paper and embellishments to showcase her lovely outfit. She was stamped and colored using watercolor pencils. Layered onto a doily and pattern paper which were sponged to soften the effect.

The next card was inspired by the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer show.  I remembered the opening scenes with Burl Ives as the snowman gliding across the snow. I tried to recreate that layered effect with the front of my card:
The front of the card is cut out to allow for another layer with the trees and frosty in the background. This could have easily been a shaker card.  The images are from Frosty and Friends, Vintage Halloween, Ephemeral Background.

Hope the wintry images helped cool you off!  We have been pretty warm and muggy here. :)

Have a lovely weekend!
