Happy New Year & a Sneak Peek!!! (and a contest)

***Contest now closed****

Happy New Year from Artistic Outpost.

We hope you all are enjoying a day of reflection and re-energizing at the beginning of 2010. We are thankful for a safe and happy holiday season, and we are excited about heading into our third year of bringing our brand of art rubber stamps to you, our talented and valued customers.

As the paper crafting world gears up for the annual extravaganza that is the CHA Show in January, we too will be releasing two BRAND new collection of stamps on January 20th. We will have the same exciting new release specials, and we hope that you are as excited as we are about these two new releases. The stamps are in our hot hands, and we are feverishly getting them packaged and ready to ship in the next couple of weeks. Our designers are also busy at work creating wonderfully inspiring projects to share with you. So, stay tuned, you will be the first to know when they are available for purchase.

And here they are:

Paris Exposition: Inspired by the Paris Exposition of 1889, and the unveiling of the Eiffel Tower, this collection features 12 images including French phrases and lovely collage elements, such as hot air balloons.

Birds of a Feather: Nothing says romantic and springtime, like the Edwardian inspired images in this collection. A special background stamp is included that is perfectly sized for ATCs.

Happy New Year to you and your families.

Thank you again for making us a part of your creative trek!

- Robyn, Shelley, and Steven

P.S. We would love to give you both of these stamp collections. Just leave us a comment telling us what excites you about Paris Exposition and Birds of a Feather, and we'll enter you in a random drawing for these collections. Drawing will take place on January 20th...the big release day!!!  Be sure to check back to see if you've won.

I'm the first to comment? Cool! I love Paris-inspired stamps and your new set holds so many creative possibilities. Your vintage images are some of the best in the business.

Both these rubberplates look great, my favourite would be the two large birds, I already picture them in use on soon to be made Spring cards.

I love your stamps and these two new sets look wonderful! I am so pleased that you include men in the Paris Exposition set - that will make it easy to make masculine cards. I also like that you have two different balloons and interesting text/sign stamps to coordinate. Birds of a Feather is another winner. The eggs & text will make a wonderful ATC background and you can ink up only the eggs and use them many other ways. This set has it all: sweet girls, two birds, nest, bird cage, and more! I'm looking forward to January 20!

The two new stamp sets are terribly tempting to someone who makes sure the birds are feed close enough to our family room so I can see and enjoy hearing them all year round. I also have ink stains on my hands right now from
"aging" yet another picture because I love the look of old things esp. from the period that is so well illustrated by the Paris stamp set. Thus, the temptation when I saw them!

When I read your e-mail the first thing I said to myself was, 'You guys make me sick.' Your stamps are so amazing and anything having to do with Paris just pulls me in and makes me need to have it. I am so obsessed with Paris and anything European it's really a terrible thing. I guess it's because I know I will never be able to go there so the next best thing is to stamp - stamp - stamp. Of course, then come the little birdies. There is something so calming and pleasant about stamping birds. They are such cheerful little creatures and can be used for pretty much anything. Well, I'll be sitting here waiting and waiting to see if I am picked to be the winner, but either way, just to let you know, I WILL own the stamps.

I love both these new stamp sets! I lived in Paris for a year during college and still love anything French. These images are so detailed and vintagey. Love the image of the little boy too.

I am almost sure if you would have seen the first thing I wrote that maybe you would have considered me. Anyway, I don't want to write everything again, just in case by some magic cyper thingy it should appear. Thank you very much for the opportunity to win these sets. Your stamps are so awesome. I guess if I don't win I will just have to buy them

I went to Paris once. It was the worst weekend you could imagine (we went for a friends wedding and missed it due to a French Cab driver being a bit 'difficult')- so I have a real dislike for all things French (not one for carrying a grudge you understand lol lol)....until now. The hot air balloons on this plate are superb. Every stamp is extremely workable.

The birds are equally gorgeous- I have a birds nest story too, but I'll spare you all that little gem ;0)

I look forward to their release very much.

Nice work! The Paris collection is really inspiring. It reminds me of my trip to the Eiffel Tower and cruise down the river. It also reminds me of the Eiffel Tower replica they have in Vegas. the stamps will work for either scenario and for oh so many other lovely cards. Birds just say romance. I love to use them for Valentine's Day cards and scrapbook pages and they just make you think of spring and nice weather. This is a powerful add to your inventory. Can't wait to see it all at CHA.

Happy New Year!!! Thanks for the chance of winning some amazingly gorgeous arty stamps....I think I should win because....

1) I love Paris, have always wanted to go but my OH is a grump and won't take me there, so winning the stamps would take me there in my art :O))

and

2) I love birds...to the point that I waste hours each day sitting watching the local birdies coming to the feeders in my garden...and as a result of this sitting watching, I am losing time to craft...so, if I won the stamps...well, I wouldn't need to sit and watch so much...so more time to craft!!

**please note that these are really mental excuses but I hope they made you LOL**

What do I love about these? The Paris set blows me away with the hot air balloons! Fabulous to see old-time balloons, especially with all my family in Albuquerque, where you see modern balloons all the time! These are awesome and exciting stamps! There is something for almost any audience: men, children, women, birds, background, portrait, etc. The possibilities are endless. And, as I look at these I am aware of the theme of air --not only the birds, but also the wish to ride in the air with the ferris wheel or the hot air balloons. These are the wishes we remember nostalgically from childhood. Ahhhh . . .

I think both of these stamp sets are awesome and would make a fine addition to any stamper's collection! The Paris stamps would be great for just about anything - doesn't have to be Paris - and the birds - I would love to own that as I have been wanting a birdcage for several projects I am envisioning and that plus the other images would be just perfect!

My great grandparents came to the states from France and I have postcards from their time in Paris during the exposition, have always been in awe of them since I was a little girl. As for the Edwardian birds? I moved into a new home and my backyard "sanctuary"is filled with birds, my new-found hobby? Bird-watching!!

I love the stamp sets, they are romantic and so beautiful! The Paris one makes me think of romance and how exciting it must have been for those people when they first saw the eiffel tower. That is a great set!
I love the vintage bird set also. Those two little girls seem so country and I love bird stamps. I live in the country.

These are both wonderful sheets of stamps.

The Paris one excites me because there are words on it - something that is always lacking if I do a French themed piece of work. Everything about it is awesome but the words do, honestly, excite me.
Love the bird one as well - those birds are so realistic and as it is really bad with snow here at the moment my big concern has been feeding the little birds so they are very much in my thoughts right now.

These are just gorgeous and I love to use Paris stamps on my pages - so romantic. Vintage Paris - is especially cool with the layouts I have planned. I love the birds and children - their vintage delicacy is perfect!

And the birds? Another "must have" for one of my favorite forms of relaxation-bird watching! Doesn't take a crystal ball to see new purchases in my future!

What excites me the most about these new plates is the exquisite, vintage feel to both of them. I love the images of the kids on the bird plate, and the bird cage??? OMG...Fabulous!!! The Paris one has the same vintage feel to it and I can see the stamps from both plates being used together as compliment images. Love them both!!! Paris is always romantic, but this set also evokes a sense of the romance of a historic Paris in its heyday. This set is so versatile for art journalling or other papercraft and altered art projects.

Love the bird set with the elegant birdcage, bird and Edwardian elements. I am already picturing what I could make with this... so classic and classy.

Thanks for the chance to be part of the fun.
