Happy Wednesday to you all and I hope you are having a wonderful start to Spring! Today I am sharing "Birds of A Feather" that I used for Tim's March Tag, which is perfect for techniques!
I knew I wanted an out of the box kind of tag feel, so I marked the shape of a regular sized tag on a larger tag, stamped and then left part of the tail off the tag and cut to shape.
The images were all stamped in Walnut Stain and then I did the smudging technique, which lends to such a soft feel. Next I applied a touch of color to the eggs and robin using an applicator and Tea Dye and Broken China.
Next I inked on some Distress over the lattice stencil with Broken China and other soft neutrals (Antique Linen and Old Paper) with a little Tea Dye here and there.
This was finished off with shading the edging with Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain and adding the sentiments.
Thank you for visiting today and I want to remind you that there is still plenty of time to get inky with AO stamps and join in the March Monthly Referral.
