Happy Saturday
Everyone! Julie, here sharing a fun Mixed Media card designed with the Roses in Paris and Grunge Elements stamp sets along with Custom Pierced Circles Dies and the Chalkboard Collection 6x6 Paper Pad (all available from Our
Daily Bread Designs).
To create the
background for this card, tap a bit of sugarplum ink
onto a cellophane envelope (I used the stamp packaging), spritz lightly with water and lay a piece of white
cardstock into the ink, lift up and repeat as needed.
Ink the large
splatter stamp from Grunge Elements with black soot distress ink and stamp onto
the background and use a brush to add additional splatters with diluted black
soot ink. Trim the panel and mount onto
the a piece of black cardstock, trim and mount onto the white card base.
For the focal image,
stamp the Roses in Paris background stamp with archival black ink onto white
cardstock, color with water-based markers and a water soluble graphite pencil,
die cut and emboss the image with the Pierced Circle Dies (mount onto
another circle die cut from the Pierced Circle Dies for stability).
Create the layers
behind the focal image using Chalkboard Collection 6x6 Paper for the top layer
and stamping the grid image from Grunge Elements with black soot ink onto a
piece of sugarplum cardstock for the lower banner. Layer both
onto black cardstock before adding to the card front.
Once the focal image
was mounted using dimensional foam, add the black twine bow with a button along
with black crystal drops. A bit of
shimmer was added to the roses using a clear shimmer pen and white highlights
to the petunias with a white paint pen.
I hope all of you
have a wonderful week and thanks again for taking the time to stop by! If you
have a chance to create a project with your Artistic Outpost stamps, we would love for you to share
it with us on Artistic Outpost Facebook page!
