Life is Better with Ice Cream!

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Julie, here sharing fun Mixed Media card designed with the Bottle Caps Background, Ice Cream Shoppe and Grunge Elements stamp sets along with the Pastel 6x6 Paper Pack (all available from Our Daily Bread Designs).

The main focal image panel was created with distress oxide inks (worn lipstick, peeled paint and wilted violet) and heat embossing the Bottle Caps Background stamp with white embossing powder.  A bit of splatter was added with the large splatter stamp from Grunge Elements before trimming the panel and layering onto white and pear cardstock.

The diluted distress oxide inks were added to the corners of the background panel before stenciling with a polka dot stencil using a clear glitter pen (hard to see in the photo).

Thin strips of satin ribbon were added before mounting onto the pear card base.  The vertical strips were created with the Pastel 6x6 Paper Pack and the focal image panel was mounted with dimensional foam.

The ice cream cones and sentiment were stamped from the Ice Cream Shoppe with archival ink and the cones were watercolored with the distress oxide inks before fussy-cutting the images. 

Shimmer was added to the ice cream cones using the clear glitter pen and a few crystal jewel drops were added to finish off the card.
