Happy Saturday
Everyone! Julie, here sharing simple Mixed Media card designed with the Eau de Parfum background stamp along with the Grunge Elements stamp set, the Custom Small Bow Dies and
the Birthday Brights 6x6 Paper Pad (all available from Our
Daily Bread Designs).
To create the background for the Eau de Parfum image, distress oxide inks (worn lipstick, peeled paint and wilted violet) were tapped onto a craft mat and spritzed with water. A piece of watercolor paper was dipped into the ink, lifted up and dried with a heat tool before additional layers of ink were added.
After the panel was thoroughly dried, the Eau de Parfum
image was heat embossed with black embossing powder over the oxide background. Additional color and details were added with the wilted violet oxide ink and a picked raspberry and mowed lawn distress marker were used for the flowers/leaves as
well as an extra fine white paint pen for a few highlights. The entire panel was trimmed and mounted onto black
cardstock.
The banner was
created from a piece of the green polka dot pattern paper out of the Birthday Brights 6x6 Paper Pad, mounted onto black
cardstock and distressed with a bit of peeled paint oxide ink as well as picket fence
distress stain.
The white card front
was layered onto black cardstock and a bit of the peeled paint and worn
lipstick oxide inks were splattered onto the corners. Additional distressing
was added with the large splatter stamp from Grunge Elements using black soot
distress ink.
The focal image was
mounted with dimensional foam and the card was finished off with the Small Bow Dies (die cut and embossed from black cardstock) with a green button added to the center.
I hope all of you
