Happy Saturday
Everyone! Julie here, sharing an easy Mixed
Media card designed with the February release background stamp, Roses in Paris
along with ODBD Ovals and Ornate Ovals Dies and the ODBD Ephemera Essentials6x6 Paper Pad (all available from Our Daily Bread Designs).
I stamped the Roses in Paris background stamp using archival black ink onto white cardstock, heat
set with a heat tool and water colored the image using watercolor pencils, water soluble graphite pencils and water based markers.
I die cut the focal
image using the Ovals Dies and mounted the die cut onto a frame cut and
embossed with the Ornate Ovals Dies.
I used a stencil with
brushed corduroy distress ink on a piece of Ephemera Essentials Paper before
mounting the panel onto a piece of black cardstock, distressing the edges
slightly before adding the two satin ribbons.
To finish off the
card, I layered the oval frame image with dimensional foam, used a clear glitter pen for shimmer to the roses and added pearls to
the corners.
I think this card
could be used for a variety of occasions and I
hope I have inspired you to pull out your Artistic Outpost stamps to create a project of your own
this week! If you do, please don’t
forget, we would love for you to share your artwork with us on Artistic Outpost Facebook page!
Thanks again for
taking the time to stop by!
