Spotlighting with Eau De Parfum

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Julie here, sharing a card using the Spotlighting Technique designed with the Eau De Parfum background stamp along ODBD Custom Dies- Pierced Rectangles and Pierced Circles (all available at Our Daily Bread Designs).

To create this card:

1). Stamp the Eau deParfum background image using black ink onto white cardstock.

2). Die cut and emboss the circle from the image in the center of the background using the Pierced Circles Dies before adding color with water-based markers, a water soluble graphite pencil, an extra fine white paint pen and a clear glitter pen.

3). Add a few shadows with the water soluble graphite pencil to the remainder of the background before fussy cutting around the deckled edge of the image.

4). Die cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock using the Pierced Rectangles Dies and mount onto a piece of black cardstock, trim close to the edge and mount onto the white card front.

5). Die cut and emboss a piece of sugarplum cardstock with the Pierced Rectangles Dies, lightly stamp the Eau de Parfum background using a watermark ink (lining up with edges with the initial stamped background ) before mounting both panels onto the card front.

6). Adhere the spotlighted circle with dimensional foam (lining up the edges with the background) to finish off the card.

And that's all there is to spotlighting!! Just coloring part of the image to "spotlight" :-)

I had fun designing this card and hope that I have inspired you to pull out your Artistic Outpost stamps and create a project of your own this week!

If you do, please don’t forget, we would love it if you would share your artwork with us on Artistic Outpost Facebook page!

Thanks again for visiting- have a great week!!
