Happy Saturday
Everyone! Julie
here, sharing a fun Mixed Media card using the Artistic Outpost Spring 2016 Release stamp sets, Ice Cream
Shoppe and
Bottle Caps Background along with the previously released ODBD Double
Stitched Circle Dies and ODBD Beautiful
Boho 6x6 Paper Pad (available at Our
Daily Bread Designs).
To create the
background for this card, I lightly stenciled a pale pink distress ink over a
piece of white cardstock, then offset the stencil a bit and applied a light
gray distress ink followed by a layer using a clear glitter pen.
I distressed the
edges and used a sewing machine with a zig zag stitch to attach the stenciled
background along with the angled piece of the pink swirled patterned paper from
the ODBD
Beautiful Boho 6x6 Paper Pad onto a piece of black cardstock.
I distressed the
edges a bit more before adding the entire panel to the white card base.
I stamped the Bottle Caps
Background and two of the ice cream cone images from Ice Cream
Shoppe using black archival ink onto white cardstock, fussy cut the images,
mounted the ice cream cones onto black cardstock (fussy cutting close to the
stamped image) and used the ODBD
Double Stitched Circle Dies to cut out circles for the Bottle Caps
Background images.
I layered the three
fussy-cut Bottle
Cap Background images using dimensional foam onto the die cut circles and mounted
them directly to the card front.
The Ice Cream
Shoppe ice cream cone images were also mounted with dimensional foam over a
bit of looped silver metallic thread.
I heat embossed the
sentiment from Ice Cream
Shoppe with white embossing powder onto black cardstock, hand trimmed the
pieces and mounted onto the card front with dimensional foam.
Using a clear glitter
pen, I added shimmer to the ice cream as well as the bottle caps to finish off
the card.
I love the sentiments
and images in the Ice Cream
Shoppe stamp set and they coordinate so well with the Bottle Caps
Background, don’t you agree?
Thanks again for taking
the time to visit us and I hope you have a fabulous week!
