HAPPY SUNDAY & HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you Mom's out there celebrating today's holiday in the U.S.!! For the occasion, I created a card perfect for the golfing Moms (and golfing Dads) in your life using our New March Release The Golf Club stamp set with a little touch of Grunge Elements.
These two cards were fun and easy to make and I whipped them up pretty quickly. Let me show you how--
I've recently invested in a new set of Mini Gelli Plates--I'm using the 3" round circle for today's cards.
I applied dots of Green Gold and Sap Green DAM acrylics to the gelli plate and brayered out. I pressed pieces of mixed-media paper onto the gelli plate to obtain both prints. The one on the left is the first print and the one on the right is the second print. I Love how they both turned out!
I masked around the circle and stamped the collage image from the The Golf Club set in Jet Black Archival onto the background. I heat set then ran through my sewing machine to add the stitched border.
I stamped the lady golfer onto mixed-media paper with Jet Black Archival and fussy cut. To create an anchor for this image, I used one of the Grunge Elements images and stamped a little bit of it into the corner.
I splattered Bamboo Twinkling H20s over the surface and heat set. I adhered the lady golfer and the word band onto the panel with matte Decou-Page and mounted the finished panel onto a fleur di lis embossed piece of kraft core stock. I also added a stitched border to the accent panel, just to make it a little different than the masculine version of this card....
I made this card exactly the same as the feminine version, except this card has a harlequin embossed background and I didn't add the extra machine stitching to it.
So there you go--A Mother's Day card, and an early Father's Day card, to celebrate those people in our lives who love to hit the links!!
Thanks for joining me today here at the Artistic Outpost Blog! See you next time!!
