Happy 4th of July!

Wishing all of you a wonderful, safe and Happy 4th of July here in the USA! There will be so many celebrations taking place all over and this tag will be a little gift to our friends who host a great big 4th party every year. Being the beginning of the month means the new "Show Us Your AO Art" challenge is just beginning, so come on and get inky with us!

My tag uses the patriotic Hero collection which of course is perfect for Independence Day and it began with my masking off the sentiment and stamping it using VersaMark ink and then clear embossing. Next I masked off all areas again and inked up the flag in Black Archival which was stamped right over the sentiment. I did take a cotton swab to lightly pat off some of the Black ink, before heat setting. 

Next was to pull out the Rays stencil, tape it down, inked with Fired Brick and Faded Jeans and then I sprinkled on clear EP and heat set that. The final layer of ink was done with Brushed Corduroy and then flicked with water, ironed off all the embossing, shaded with Black Soot. To end I again masked and stamped the 4 and th and added some die cut letters and star rubs!
