I've created a Summery feeling card using the group image of darling kids from our new Springtime set on a stenciled and Color Bursts background.
Here's the background panel, layered with a few pieces of tissue tape first, then a layer of stenciling with Distress Paint, then those wonderful Color Bursts--I used Orange & Violet CBs then spritzed with water to activate.
I stamped the kids onto the background panel and onto a piece of mixed-media paper with Jet Black Archival. I outlined the stamped kids with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and my water brush then adhere the fussy cut kids on top and outlined them again with my white gel pen.
I stamped the quote onto a piece of mixed-media paper that I had used to sop up the extra Color Bursts with. I fussy cut it and mounted on a piece of black stock and adhered to the background panel. I outlined it with Walnut Stain DI and my water brush and finished with an outlining of white gel pen.
I also treated the background panel with random swipes of a gift card dipped in Mustard Seed, Black Soot & Seedless Preserves Distress Paints and random dots of Black Soot DP & Translucent White DecoArt Acrylic, made with a pencil eraser. I distressed the edges of the panel with my paper distresser, inked with Black Soot Distress Ink and adhered to a card base.
