Hello, Linda back today sharing a tag that I made for our October Artistic Outpost blog hop. For my piece, I started with a jumbo manila tag and affixed white cheesecloth to it using multi medium matte. When that was dry, I applied white embossing paste through a stencil. After letting that layer dry, a coat of gesso was applied and again, I let it dry thoroughly. Once dry, I misted the corners with Salty Ocean distress stain spray and then spritzed it with Walnut Stain Distress Stain Spray. The greens were cut with the new Holiday Greens thinlits dies and colored with Brushed Pewter distress stain.
The sentiment was cut apart and I drew around the edges with a stabilo pencil. That didn't work very well on such a rough surface so I took a water brush and went around the edges when the pencil line was. The water reacted with the graphite and the lines got super dark and thick.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
