Oh, those lazy days of summer...hello everyone, Linda here, back today with a sample I created for both the Artistic Outpost April blog hop and for an Earth Day challenge. I have used one of my favorite Artistic Outpost women from the Keeper set. In fact I think this might be the first AO stamp set I ever acquired. I just love the retro, sort of 1950's feel of this woman. And this whole stamp set has such a fabulous summer feel to it.
I started with a jumbo manilla tag and inked up the grass stamp from this plate with Picket Fence Distress Stain, stamping across the bottom and up the right side. I also stamped the summer house in Picket Fence, but it doesn't show much. After drying with my heat tool, I sponged Mowed Grass DI along the bottom and the right side. Next I embossed the top section of the tag with the Springtime Borders and Backgrounds texture fade. I also used that texture fade to emboss my acrylic butterflies and flower. The middle area was sponged with Peacock Feathers and the top with Squeezed Lemonade DIs. For the focal panel, I brushed Multi Medium Matte onto a piece of white chipboard and glued down the white burlap. Once dry, I cut it with the Baroque die and sponged the edges with Vintage Photo. The woman was stamped with Jet Black archival ink, trimmed out and colored with distress ink. All the butterflies, flower and leaves were cut from waste acrylic packaging. They were painted with Vintaj Weathered Copper and Retro Highway patina paint kits.

I so love this tag - such wonderfully fresh, vivid colours - and the framing of the image is brilliant!
