I started out by watercolouring the little paperboy, using Distress Stains and a water brush. Couldn't resist a little blue sailor suit affair... He's mounted in a copper Memory Frame, with a sheet cut from acetate packaging to create the "glass".
Behind him is a chunky kraft tag brushed with whitewash, and stamped with the brilliant collage text stamp from the set, in combined Black and Coffee Archival Inks.
And the base tag is created with Fresco paint and crackle glaze. I stamped the Hero sentiment, blending (if I remember rightly) something like Faded Jeans, Broken China and Vintage Photo onto the stamp, and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I love the gloss against the shabby chic crackled paint.
Some seam binding dyed with Distress Stains finishes the whole thing off.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you'll be inspired to enter the March Referral Challenge here at Artistic Outpost... you just need to include at least one AO stamp to qualify for the prize draw. See you again soon.
