Hello all, I'm feeling the opposite of bleak and wintry - I'm full of the joys of spring, and so excited to be joining this amazing team, and working with the wonderful Artistic Outpost stamps, which were one of my very first loves when I started this crazy ride.
For my first post here, I thought I'd share with you one of my recent favourites, an ATC using the gorgeous MidWinter plate. I started with some music paper in the background, since the whole thing was inspired by the quote from my favourite Christmas carol, and edged it with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I brushed some gesso in sweeping strokes for a windswept look.
The little house was stamped onto kraft cardstock, and I used Snowflake Fresco paint to add the billowing snowdrifts, with some tiny vertical brushstrokes to try to get the look of icicles hanging from the roof.
I also used the paint to stamp the sentiment, which is what gives it that distressed look I love. And the twig got a little dusting of snowy paint too, adding some dimensionality to the ATC.
Thanks so much for dropping in today, and I'm looking forward to sharing another project soon.
