Fashionista

Welcome to the Artistic Outpost blog! This is Kate and today I have made a card using the Flapper Fashion stamp set. Who doesn’t love the Roaring 20’s? This set has so many ladies dressed to the nine’s that I just had to have it.

I used pattern paper for my background and then distressed it using gesso, several colors of acrylic paint distress inks. I even added a little stamping from the Ephemera Backgrounds stamp set. My Spellbinder’s floral oval is the perfect backdrop to my fashionista. I colored her using Distress Markers. I framed the oval with a metal twig and handmade roses. Vintage lace and bling finish off this card. If you love vintage ladies, then I promise you will love this set.

We would love to see all your creations using any Artistic Outpost stamp set. There are still a few days left to enter the January Referral Challenge.

  1. Wonderful card, Kate - the shabby background is just gorgeous, and wow to those roses (have had several goes with moderate success - these make me determined to practise more!)... She's so unutterably chic - what an image!
