Autumn at the Old Grist Mill

Fall is my favorite time of the year and I really enjoy the fall crafting season.  The Old Grist Mill plate has become my favorite go-to set for fall crafting.  The theme for the October AO blog hop was fall this month and I again used the Old Grist Mill plate.  Here is the card I made.  Using sepia archival ink,  I stamped the background using two of the smaller stamps in the set - the flower and the vintage newspaper ad.  Then I gave the panel a wash of Picket Fence distress stain.  The rest is pretty cut and dried - stamped the main images again in sepia archival ink, cut the leaves using my Mini Tattered Leaves dies, embossed the kraft core Core'dinations with the Thanksgiving Backgrounds and Borders texture fade and also embossed an orange pumpkin with the same TF and trimmed it out to use as an embellishment.

Hope you are having as much fun with fall crafting as I am having!

  1. Simply scrumptious card from Linda - what a gorgeous use of the Mill, and that embossed border is a fabulous touch! Ribbon + twine + leaves = gorgeous!
