Yuletide Greetings

I have used the fabulous recently released MIDWINTER plate for this weeks creation to create my scenic Christmas Card.

I created my textural background using a stencil and Gesso, the Gesso adds wonderful texture and dimension. I coloured the raised snowflakes with acrylic paints sky blue and white. The focal image from the MIDWINTER plate has been stamped with black archival ink, blending broken china ink around the edges to add to that frosty feel.  For added texture I have applied snow to the scene and wooden snowflakes and reindeer add further dimension.  SNOW has been coloured and created in the same way as the background, adding silver paint dabber to the edges.

I do like to add an image to the bottom inside corner of my card and this time I added the fabulous reindeer from the MIDWINTER plate. I think this little touch gives a professional finish.
