Frosty Gift Bag

Don't you just LOVE the new Frosty & Friends plate!  This plate is perfect on it's own, but also wonderful to mix with other Artistic Outpost Christmas plates.  Here, I've added some snowflakes from the Snowy Woods plate to the tissue paper and handle of the gift bag, then added Frosty to the bag.
Frosty is stamped in Black Archival on Vanilla card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  Walnut Stain Distress Ink is sponged on the edges for an aged look.

Apothecary Bottles

The Apothecary plate has so many wonderful images and they work beautifully with so many of the other AO images.

I created a background using a combination of the images from the new Apothecary plate

To create the background:
  1. Stamp ledger multiple times (Ephemeral Backgrounds) lightly with black ink on white cardstock.
  2. Sponge surface of background with brown dye ink.
  3. Spritz craft mat with shimmery brown.  Set tops of glimmer mist and embossing powder in ink and create circles on background.
  4. Drip brown shimmery ink onto surface of cardstock.
  5. Randomly stamp images from Apothecary plate using brown and black ink onto background.
The prescription is stamped on tissue paper and sponged with a touch of brown ink.

The glasses are from the Steampunk plate and the bottles are from the new Halloween Treats plate.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Apothecary Box

With Halloween right around the corner I'd have some fun using the new Apothecary images, they just seemed to go hand in hand or should I say " bone to bone "
with a Mad Dr. who just maybe giving out the wrong prescription to some unsuspecting victim.
Those label stamps fit perfectly on the bottles of tonics and potions.
So whats your prescription for fun?
I'd say these new stamps are mine.!!

Tonics and Treats and a Snowman so Sweet - New Artistic Outpost Releases

Artistic Outpost’s newest collections are available in the AO retail store in both unmounted rubber sheets as well as mounted on EZMount cling foam and pre-trimmed.
We are in love with the retro vibe of these stamps as well as the versatility.
From cards to tags to collage to home décor, our design team has created some beautiful projects to inspire you,  be sure to check out our galleries featuring their wonderful projects.
Apothecary :  Before the invention of the drive-thru Walgreens®, the apothecary was not just a dispenser of medicines, but also a mix-ologist of tonics, keeper of secrets, and giver of advice.  Antique apothecary bottles are highly collectible in part due to the “mystery” of what could actually be in them.  Our AO stylized bottle has a blank space that our “product” labels fit perfectly into…or hand write your prescription on our vintage Rx pad.
Halloween Treats :  Growing up, our Halloween decorations were Technicolor large die cuts of pumpkins and kitty cats and witches on broomsticks.  These stamps remind me of those “cardboard” cut-outs.  How I wished we had saved them!   Try mixing this set with our other Halloween collections as well as Apothecary!

Frosty & Friends:  I love the sweetness of vintage Christmas cards.  The secular imagery was dreamy and cute...so sugary sweet my teeth hurt just to look at them.  This collection features some of our favorite images from our own AO collection of vintage ephemera.
Please note that due to the high volume during new releases, that “mounted” stamp collections may take 10 days to ship.  We will keep you posted on your order, and thank you so much for visiting our outpost.
Be sure to stop by and visit our Design Team Members Blogs for inspiration using these new plates:

Picadilly Lane

If you love history about transportation, then a London excursion of the under-ground railway sites;  Green Park, Picadilly Lane and Hyde Park Corner will surely facinate you.  Artistic Outpost's rubber stamps brings to life the nostalgia of London and the glory days of this railway.
I decided to fabricate more of an aletered art piece.  Gesso, Canvas, an old piece of puzzle, Tim Holtz Distress paints and even some bleach were all mediums I used to create...with Artistic Outpost Stamp Collections:  Loverly London, London Underground, Empeheral Backgrounds and Generations Redux.

Gone Fishin'!

Hi, Lisa here today, sharing one of my families favorite Summertime passions, using images from the Artistic Outpost Keeper and Ephemeral Background plates.

The focal image from the Keeper plate is stamped in Black Archival on Watercolor paper and colored with Markers and an H20 Brush.  I added some grass in Coffee Archival and the Post Card from Ephemeral Backgrounds in Black.  To finish off the card, I tied on some old Fishing Line and Fly Lure.

Timeless Beauty

The stamps from the outpost are some of my favorites. The beautiful watch fob with the  scene inside of the faceplate is so lovely.

I combined that scene with the trees and layered them in circles to continue the view of the watch.

The background contains a mix of stamps layered with some spots and rings of ink.

Stamps:  Ephemeral Backgrounds, The Outpost, Old Grist Mill,  and Home.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Cheerio

I received some funny money from a friend in the UK and thought how perfect
to include it as the backdrop of my card using the new stamps from the
Loverly London collection.

Fun with Huck Finn

These stamps from Huck Finn seemed to go so well with a challenge to use sewing on a card. Huck is stamped, cut out and adhered to a tag. the tag background was created using the bingo blast technique from the Technique Junkies newsletter only I used distress stains instead. The denim squares are cut from a pair of baby jeans that my 10 month old granddaughter outgrew. You can see that sewing is not my talent, but I guess Huck wouldn't be seen around high couture fashion either.

I don't think they need much explanation... the stamps speak for themselves!

Keep Calm and Carry On

For this card, I stamped my flag from London Underground once in red and a second time in blue on a blank page from a vintage book and then paper pieced it together.

The sentiment was stamped on the same aged book page and layered over the center.

All Things London

Hello readers,  Connie here to share a card I made using some of  the latest releases of Artistic Outpost Stamp Collections: Loverly London and Emphemeral Backgrounds
London, is known, for its history of  architectual beauty  of the Tower Bridges, their later day commmunications of the morse code - the telegraph and the exuberant men's and women's clubs. The London stamp collections really take you back to this era.
Stop by and visit  our  Gallery and Store Site.   You will be delighted to see how all the rubber stamp collections can be intermingled to fashion your favorite art creations.

London Chunky ATC

For those not familiar with the Chunky ATC, it is a a piece of wood (cut from a 2x4) that measures the same as an ATC which is 2-1/2 by 3-1/2    It's a fun canvas to work on.
First I painted my ATC black.   I then used stamps from the two new London releases to create a background piece.  I used that for the face of my ATC as well as to create the rosettes at the top.
My ATC is embellished with some gears, a spinner piece, some film strip ribbon, and a fancy purple button at the top.   On the bottom I added wooden four legs so it stands quite nicely.

Serenity

I still think this is one of my most favorite Artistic Outpost plates!

I used Alcohol Ink to create the BG, then stamped the image in Black Archival and randomly stamped the flourishes to the card stock panel.

Layers of London

A few of the fantastic images from the Loverly London plate stamped using a brown archival ink on light blue pattern paper.  The background was created by using the newsprint from the London Underground stamped in the various areas using a gold ink.

London ATC

Hi Barbara here. I started playing around with some of the cool stamps from Loverly London and London Underground. Before I knew it, I had the makings of a collaged atc. The British flag makes a great, colorful background. All of the stamps here work so well together with just a little masking, -- the newspaper, the buildings, the postcard.  It kind of makes me want to go back to London for a visit.

I ♥ G B

This fun card was made for this week's Inspiration Challenge at SplitcoastStampers and was inspired by this vintage t-shirt from Posh Vintage.

I colored the flag from London Underground with markers and stamped it on white cardstock. I centered the heart punch on the flag and then used a Black Sharpie Marker to edge the heart before attaching it with foam tape.

The letters were white foam thickers that were dyed with a combination of India Ink and Black Sharpie and then clear embossed (to keep the ink from rubbing off).

Regency of the Royals.

Connie here, to share a card with you that I created using Artistic Outpost's latest release, Loverly London and London Underground.
The images and word art showcases the nostalgia and regal flair if England and it's patronage  of  the Royal Monarchy.  London Underground is a creative works of the "Tube" London's underground railway.  Your Altered Art Projects, ATC's, Cards and Scrapbook pages will certainly be amplified in a clever and original style depicting the Regency of the Royals.
The backgrounds on this card were created using Tim Holtz Distress and Basic Grey Ribbon Tape.

Cheerio!

Today, I have a card to share that I created with stamps from Loverly London and London Underground.  I stamped a collage for the background using the London skyline in black.  I added the flags and "London" with Distress Pumice Stone ink.  I stamped the gentleman separately and fussy cut him to mount with foam tape over the background.  I chose paper colors to coordinate for a very monochromatice color scheme.  A great guy card!
Thanks for stopping!!!

Of seeing the Royal guards in front of the Palace.
Maybe someday it will happen but until then I can play with my stamps
London Underground.Maybe I can even get these guards to crack a smile. LOL

London Up Close

Happy Friday!  Suzz here...

I am loving the new London Release... And did you see the releases coming up?  They are fabulous and I can't wait until I can ink them up.

This paper weight was in my alterable stash waiting for the right images to come along.  The London Underground  images are perfect for layering.

The flag was first colored using watercolor markers and stamped on white cardstock. The gentlemen in their uniforms were stamped next using a black ink.

After I had stamped everything it was really easy to place my dome over the image and move it around until I found the section of the stamped images to highlight. I traced the circle and cut it out and attached with a very thin layer of glossy accents.

The second project  is a card featuring the loverly lady from the  Loverly London Plate.

She is stamped on vellum using black stazon ink and layered over several pieces of wax paper and cardstock to frame her and show off her elegant style.

Have a wonderful weekend!
