Distant Generations

When I was challenged with the theme "I Remember", I immediately thought of this wonderful set of vintage stamps entitled and honoring Distant Generations. I just love this image. It reminds me of old family photos. I stamped it in black on white to keep with the idea of a photograph. I painted over it with a layer of clear distress crackle paint to give it an aged texture. The image had a row of lace running across the bottom, so I added a piece of beautiful vintage lace embellishment from the new department at Artistic Outpost called Outpost Attic Findings. The sentiment, which is only too true, is also from the stamp set. Behind the image I used a distressed newspaper background and I added three vintage buttons to keep with the aged feel.
