The Harvest You Reap

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Julie here, sharing a mixed media card designed with the Artistic Outpost stamp sets, Harvest, Seed Packets Background and Grunge Elements, all available at Our Daily Bread Designs. 

To create the background, I repeatedly stamped images from the AO Grunge Elements stamp set onto soft yellow and olive green cardstock with brown and olive distress ink.

I used a sewing machine to stitch the layers onto chocolate cardstock and added the knotted hemp twine before mounting the panel onto the white card base.

To create the focal image panel, I stamped the AO Seed Packets Background onto white cardstock with embossing ink and heat embossed with dark brown embossing powder.

Once the powder cooled, I colored the image with a water brush and distress inks, trimmed the image, distressed the edges, added crackle texture paste using a honeycomb stencil, mounted the distressed panel onto chocolate cardstock before adding to the card front with dimensional foam.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the AO Harvest stamp set using dark brown embossing powder onto white cardstock, distressed the edges as well as using the large splatter image from AO Grunge Elements with brown distress ink and mounted onto dark brown cardstock before adding to the card front with dimensional foam.
