Ice Cream Happiness!

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Julie here, with another fun card using Ice Cream Shoppe along with Bottle Caps Background from the Artistic Outpost Spring Release.

To create the background for this card, I used a direct to paper (DTP) technique- first I swiped the light blue ink in the center of a piece of white cardstock followed with the olive green ink, then added the melon ink and finished with the dark blackberry ink.

Once the ink dried, I stamped the AO Bottle Caps Background stamp over the inked panel with archival black ink and cut the panel into four pieces.

Using the ODBD Pierced Rectangles Dies, I die cut two pieces from black cardstock and one piece from white cardstock.  I layered the black and white die cuts onto a white card base and mounted two of the inked background panels onto the smallest black die cut panel.

I stamped the girl image and sentiment from the AO Ice Cream Shoppe stamp set with archival black ink onto white cardstock, die cut the sentiment with the ODBD Filigree Frames Dies and fussy-cut the girl image (mounting the fussy cut image onto black cardstock and fussy cuting a thin border around the stamped image as well).

To finish off the card, I added a bit of looped silver cord and mounted the sentiment along with the girl image with dimensional foam.

I hope I have inspired you to create a project using your Artistic Outpost stamps this weekend, and if so, it is not too late to join in on our August Show Us Your AO Art Challenge- click here for details

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope you have a fabulous week!!
