Rather Be on My Farm

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Julie here, sharing another Mixed Media card using the Seed Packets Background, Harvest and Grunge Elements stamp sets from the Artistic Outpost Spring 2016 Release available from Our Daily Bread Designs website.

I have to confess that love the artwork on the Artistic Outpost stamps and the Seed Packets Background is no exception.  I find myself struggling to cover up the gorgeous seed images- how about you?

For this card, I chose to use a monochromatic scheme and stamped the Seed Packets Background onto taupe cardstock using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and sponged Tea Dye Distress Ink to age the paper.

I added a bit of distressing with the large splatter image from Grunge Elements before die-cutting the center spotlighting circle with the ODBD Double Stitched Circle Dies and die-cutting the panel with the ODBD Double Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I layered the die cut image onto dark brown and taupe cardstock before adding the wire clip with twine and mounting onto the a piece of embossed paper from the ODBD Vintage Ephemera 6x6 Paper Collection.

I finished off the card with a few antique brass brads along with the heat embossed sentiment from Harvest (stamped and heat embossed on a scrap piece of ODBD Vintage Ephemera Paper) before mounting the entire panel onto the white card base.
