The Most Important Shot

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Julie here, with another Mixed Media card using Grunge Elements along with The Golf Club from the Artistic Outpost Spring Release.

To create the background for this card, I started with a piece of Watercolor Paper and added Tim Holtz® Distress Stains to a craft mat, spritzed with water, laid the Watercolor Paper into the ink and lifted to allow the ink to run.

Once the background ink was dry, I stamped the different Grunge Elements images using Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink over the entire panel and added Tea Dye Distress Ink to ”age” the paper.

To create the grid for the background, I used a 1 ¼” Square Punch to punch squares from the entire panel and mounted each square onto a pre-punched 1 3/8” square of black cardstock.

I adhered all of the layered background squares onto the white card base, added the stamped advertising elements from The Golf Shop and covered the entire panel with Distress Crazing Medium.

To finish off the card, I added the fussy-cut female golfer along with the heat embossed sentiment (both images from The Golf Club) using dimensional foam.

Don’t forget, we would love to see what you are creating with your Artistic Outpost stamps- click here for details on how to join in on our April Show Us Your AO Art Challenge.

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope you have a wonderful week!!
