Joie de Vivre!

Hello, Avril here with my first post on the AO blog, so thanks for visiting today. I decided to showcase Paris Exposition which was the very first set of stamps that I purchased.  I wanted something soft and feminine for this lovely lady.  I applied Gloss Texture paste through a Flourish stencil, the whole card was then inked with Victorian Velvet, Shaded Lilac and Bundled Sage. I used the stencil again on the left hand side, but this time I inked with Victorian Velvet DI for a softer look.

I coloured the image and cut it with deckle edge scissors, leaving a small white border to look like a vintage photograph, the mat was also cut with scissors.  The sentiments are also from the Paris Exposition set.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I've inspired you to ink up your AO stamps and of course if you do, you still have just over a week to join us for the March 'Show us Your Art' challenge.

This is gorgeous Avril and it really is so beautifully soft and feminine. I love the colours that you've used as they all work together so well. I don't actually own any AO stamps, so I'm sorry that I won't be able to join in this challenge but I do thank you for the inspiration and congratulate you on you first DT piece, you've done them proud :) Crafty hugs, Sandra X X
