Beyond the Sea

Hello Everyone and Happy Saturday!  Julie, here showcasing the Artistic Outpost stamp set Beyond the Sea.

I created the background for this card by prepping a piece of white cardstock with Gesso® and applying Titanium White Acrylic Paint.

Once the panel was dry, I embossed the panel with a woodgrain embossing folder, trimmed and mounted it onto a piece of kraft cardstock, trimmed again and mounted the panel onto the black card base.

I inked the seashells, lighthouse and the couple in the boat from Beyond the Sea with Versamark™ and stamped all onto a piece of kraft cardstock, heat embossed with black embossing powder and once the embossing cooled, colored the images with distress ink using a water brush, markers and colored pencils.

The lighthouse panel was trimmed and mounted onto black cardstock and I fussy cut the seashells as well as the couple in the boat (I think it is easier to fussy cut when you heat emboss the images :-)).

I added a scrap piece of burlap ribbon (that I had previously pulled apart) to the card front with hot glue and mounted the lighthouse panel onto the card front using dimensional foam.

I wanted to add Scripture for the sentiment so I inked the Psalm 124:8 verse from the Scripture Collection 3 (Our Daily Bread Designs) using Versamark™ ink, stamped it onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed the image with white embossing powder.

I trimmed the sentiment into a rectangle, mounted it onto kraft cardstock, trimmed it again and mounted onto black cardstock.

I used dimensional foam to mount the sentiment to the card front as well as the couple in the boat.

I finished off the card by positioning the seashells and adding each to the card front with dimensional foam using hot glue. I also added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella® to the seashells and the waves near the boat.

I can just imagine that this couple are floating by this gorgeous lighthouse and possibly he is consoling his sweetheart on this relaxing day :-)

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope you have been inspired to get out your supplies and create a card or project this weekend! Have a blessed week, friends!
