Football Philosophy

Hi There!! It's me Shari and I'm here today with a tag that I made with one of our New Release stamp sets-Go Team!!

I have to admit, this tag didn't start off on this side.  But, instead of trashing the entire tag, I took some crafty advice to heart--If you don't like it, paint over it!!

This is now the backside of the tag, which I painted over, because I wasn't happy with what I was doing.  I used Cut Grass Dylusions acrylic paint and Green Gold & Translucent White DAM fluid acrylics to scrape over the surface.

Now, back to what has become the front side of the tag.  The splotchy colors are from sopping up the paint from the backside of the tag.  I did a little monoprint stenciling using the Measured layering stencil then stamped the stadium image onto tissue paper with Jet Black Archival.  I adhered to the tag with matte Decou-Page and heat set, then rubbed with Tea Dye DI.

I stamped a bunch of the football images onto kraft glassine, fussy cut and mounted onto black card stock.  I then used my white gel pen to create the markings.  I heat embossed the banners on mixed-media paper then rubbed with Mowed Lawn DI and fussy cut.  That little footballer was stamped onto mixed-media paper with Jet Black archival, rubbed with Tea Dye DI then fussy cut.

I stamped the quote onto mixed-media paper, rubbed with Vintage Photo DI, fussy cut then rubbed the edges with Walnut Stain DI.  After the word bands were adhered onto the tag, I outlined them with my water brush and Black Soot DI.

I adhered everything into place with matte Decou-Page and outlined with Black Soot DI and my water brush.  I added a couple of little staples to each banner with my tiny attacher and topped the tag off with a piece of natural trimmings and called this tag finished.

This is a great set and I can see it being used with many different color schemes--maybe those of your favorite football team?  It's available at the Artistic Outpost Store and a bargain at $19.95 because there are 9 images in this set--WOW!  I love that and I know you will too!!

Thanks again for joining me here at Artistic Outpost!  I'll see you here again next week!!
