Fashion in Pink

Hi There & Happy Sunday!!  Shari here with you today and I've got card #2 of the trio of cards I made using our new Vintage Fashion stamp set.

I'm using a piece of the master board I showed you in last week's card, so I won't go into the details about that.  But really, that panel has been the perfect background for these images-I'm sad that I'll only get one more card out of it!

Something else that I'm keeping consistent for these cards is, I'm using paper and vellum that I stained with coffee to do all of my stamping on.  I stamped this woman onto a piece of coffee stained mixed-media paper with Coffee Archival and fussy cut.

She looks so lost in her thoughts, and maybe a bit forlorn, so I thought giving her a corsage of tiny tattered florals would cheer her up.  After rolling these itty bitty little flowers into shape and hot gluing them, I spritzed them with Biscotti Perfect Pearls mist and placed self-adhesive pearls in the center.

I stamped the French advertisement onto a piece of coffee stained vellum, cut to size and machine stitched onto the background panel with my sewing machine.  I stamped 'Fashion' onto a piece of stained stock and fussy cut to size and mounted to a light purple background.

I popped my female focal image up with some foam squares and gave her a shadow using Ground Espresso DI and my water brush.  I adhered the finished panel to an iridescent purple card base and rubbed the edges with Walnut Stain DI.

Card #2 done!!  I'll be back in a couple of weeks to share the last card in this trio, which means it's almost the end of the month!  HEY--Have you brought your AO art to our Show Us Your AO Art Challenge yet?  There's one more week until the clock strikes 11:55pm CDT on October 31st to enter......

Thanks for spending a little bit of your Sunday with me!!
