Saved from a Rainy Day

Happy Sunday!!  Happy first weekend of August!! It's me Shari, Thanks for dropping in with me today!  I'm sharing a card that I made for our May New Release event that kind of went missing on me--I knew I made it, I knew I hadn't shared it yet, where did it go?

Well, these kids decided to go off and have a play in the rain-Luckily, I brought them in (meaning I found them in a collection of finished cards) to share with you today!  I'm using our Springtime and The Outpost stamp sets in this rainy Springtime themed card.

This is the gelli print background I'm using for today's card.  The imprint of the Flourish layering stencil barely came through but I really like this panel for the 'splotchiness' of the transferred colors of paint.

I stamped the house & tree image onto the panel with Jet Black Archival and applied pieces of tissue tape here and there.  I randomly stamped the script image from The Outpost set around the background and added random lines of paint with an old gift card.

Oh these darling little children-Such a sweet image!  I stamped them onto the panel with Jet Black Archival and again onto a separate piece of stock, then fussy cut.  I also separately stamped the umbrella in Mustard Seed DI, clear embossed and fussy cut.

I stamped the quote onto tissue paper with Jet Black Archival several times, fussy cut and adhered to the entire border of the panel.  I also stamped the quote onto white stock, fussy cut and mounted onto black stock.  I finished with splattering Black Soot Distress Paint over the surface with a round paint brush and inking the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink.

Thanks again for joining me today here at Artistic Outpost.  Tomorrow is the 1st Monday of the month, you know what that means--Product Focus Feature time!! See you tomorrow!!
