A Gentle Man

Hi!! It's me, Shari--Happy Sunday!!  Have you recovered from the excitement of the New Releases yet?  I sure haven't!!  But I do have to admit, I'm relieved the news is out and I can freely share projects that I've been making with the new stamps! WHEW!!

I'm terribly enamored of the new Hat's Off stamp set and the single Hats Background stamp.  They're very versatile and wonderfully masculine! I love 'em!!

I used Distress Inks in Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, Tea Dye & Black Soot to create the heat-embossed resist background panel with the Hats Background image.

This gentle man from the Hat's Off set, was stamped with Jet Black Archival onto mixed media stock then water colored with Aged Mahogany, Tattered Rose & Pumice Stone Distress Markers and my water brush.   I gave his hat a light layer of Diamond Glaze to give it a satiny shine and I adorned him with an Observations Word Band.

The quote is in the Hat's Off set, and I stamped it with Jet Black Archival onto distressed manila stock.  I then fussy cut each word, inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and mounted onto a scrap piece of black stock.  I snipped out each word and adhered to the background panel with matte gel.

I hope you're enjoying the samples that all of us DT members have been sharing!  I just love all of the different styles and all of the different ways my teammates have been using these images in their creations!  I know I'm inspired even more!!

OH--and don't forget!! You've got until January 31st at 11:55pm CST to enter your Artistic Outpost creations in our January Show Us Your AO Art Challenge.  We'd love to see what you do with your sets of Artistic Outpost stamps!

Thanks for joining me today!
