A quick trip to Paris...

I'm afraid it's only in your imaginations though!  Hi all, Alison (butterfly) here for my monthly flutter with the Artistic Outpost stamps.  I'm sharing my first time of playing with the delicious Paris Exposition set today... and since the stamps are so lovely, I really didn't do very much other than stamp them!
I started with a tag from one of the Prima pre-printed tag pads.  They're a little taller than the normal tags, so that seemed perfect - giving lots of space for aerial adventures in the sky!
I stamped my main images direct onto the tag... the fabulous gentlemen proudly showing off their big wheel for the Exposition...
The balloons making their daring ascensions... a dangerous business!
I fear somebody has already had to make a desperate bid for safety, jumping with his parachute from a balloon which has gone astray.
I added some advertisements for the Exposition.
They're stamped on separate card and inked and distressed for a vintage look.
I added some metal detailing with some industrial brads...
and swirled smoky black clouds around them, echoing the script in the background, for some added movement and drama...
And amidst all the excitement, who wouldn't feel a sense of Joie de Vivre?!
I stamped the words and added one of the Idea-ology number plaques - they look so French to me, so it seemed like the perfect thing to top off the tag.
There you go - a pretty straightforward stamped tag - but with stamps this good, sometimes that's all you want to do!

Thanks so much for stopping by today - I always love to hear what you think - and I'll see you again in August!

They are such lovely crisp stamps. I'm quite smitten with the hot air balloon and parachute. At first I thought the two banners off the balloon were random jumpers. EEK! That's a fad that won't catch on. Love the ads added with the clip, and the swirls and the number plate, and it's all lovely.

That is indeed a fabulous stamp set - another addition to the wish list, I think! I love how you used them too. That idea-logy number at the top is the perfect embellishment; it reminds me of the number on a French apartment door somehow!A really atmospheric tag with the perfect colour scheme to set off those lovely vintage images!
