Not Afraid Of Storms!

Hello to you on this beautiful Wednesday and thank you so much for visiting today! There are just a few days left to get inky with us for the March Referral Program, so we would love to see what you come up with using your AO stamps! A $14 gift certificate to the store is the prize!!
This card actually came to be after creating the background using Pan Pastels, which was my first attempt. I wanted to create a stormy sky to go along with that fabulous quote from "Quote and Quotables," which was stamped in black and then I torn around the quote and shaded.
Then the fun part came and I knew Huck Finn would have to join the party! The ship was stamped in black Archival and offset and the words stamped and torn apart.
After the young lad was stamped, he was colored using Distress Inks that I applied with a little foam applicator.
Have a wonderful finish to the week and thank you again for stopping by.

A fabulous scene Terry. The low horizon line gives a great feel of space and I love the contrast of the cool sea and warm sky which looks like a stormy sunset to me. Xx

Completely beautiful, Terry - you've nailed those PPs first go... what a stunning sky, and ominous too - so atmospheric and so perfect as a setting for the images and words. Brilliant!

This is one of my favorite sets. Love the colors, looks like sunset is coming on. The tiny compass is a fab touch!
